Ah, flu season is back. It seems like everyone is either sick, worried about getting sick, or talking about healthcare in the U.S. Following a long debate over the summer and now the bills before the Senate, The American Business Journal (ABJ) looks at health care reform with a few features in our special double issue of ABJ, including a look at physician-owned hospitals, mental health care in the U.S. and an enlightening interview with Washington Governor Chris Gregoire— who speaks at length about health care changes. These articles are sure to be of interest to all our readers, but more importantly, our doctor CEO readers whose businesses may be affected by new reforms. Not only did we interview Chris Gregoire, we also focused on her state—Washington. We were privileged to have the opportunity to interview many legislative and city officials for features about the Association of Washington Cities, the City of Bothell, which celebrated its centennial anniversary this year, and the City of Bellevue.

We hope you enjoy this month’s issue of ABJ, and hope you will take the time to read the January issue, which is set for early release in mid-December.

As always, we appreciate hearing from you. If you have any feedback, drop me a line at sarak@georgemedia.ca.

Happy reading!
