U.S. private sector cuts 10,000 jobs

ABJ Sep 1 - American private employers unexpectedly cut 10,000 jobs in August compared to a 37,000 gain in July.

A report from ADP Employer Services was delivered prior to a comprehensive governmental report illustrating the labour market, including both public and private sector employment.

Economists refer to the ADP report to fine-tune expectations for the payrolls numbers, according to analysts.
