Strategy for Sustainability: A Business Manifesto

Written By Adam Werbach

As Global CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi S, Werbach is an authoritative voice about a business strategy for sustainability. In his book, Strategy for Sustainability, Werbach reminds his readers that more than ever before, consumers, employees, and investors are committed to doing good. Thus, any strategy that doesn’t include sustainability at its core is bad for business, bad for shareholders and bad for the environment.

Werbach provides numerous examples of big brands that have risen to the occasion. Companies such as Dell, Toyota, Procter & Gamble, Nike and Wal-Mart have all profited by implementing integral strategies for sustainability. Unlike many environmentalist books, Werbach is not interested in idealism; rather, he approaches the topic from a highly pragmatic position. The book is based on observations and recommendations from practical experience and empirical evidence.

This book is a worthwhile read for those unmoved by environmental trends, or for those who have trouble connecting the realities of business with the green movement. AB
